What are your plans for this weekend? Read on if you need some help – we’ve picked out some events for the whole family.
Pretend like it's summer
The “Make a Splash” fundraiser for the Mary Moon Foundation is this weekend at Water Park of America. They’re offering discounted admission tickets, games, food, entertainment and a silent auction.
It happens Sunday, March 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and tickets are $15 (kids under 18 months are admitted free). Buy them online at the Mary Moon Foundation website. While you’re there, be sure to register and fill out the mandatory waiver form.
The Water Park of America is located at 1700 American Blvd. E.
Get your kid a job
Although this isn’t a weekend event, it’s happening next Thursday before we “speak” with you again so we thought we’d let you know about it now. It’s a teen job fair, presented by Bloomington Daymakers Rotary Club and Bloomington United For Youth. This is an annual event where business owners with weekend and summer positions available show up in hopes of finding the right employee.
Some of the businesses tapped to attend the job fair include Valleyfair Amusement Park, Chipotle, Mall of America, Walgreen’s, Carpentry Contractors, Pump it UP and Cinnabon, among others. See the entire list here.
The job fair happens from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. this coming Thursday, March 12 at Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road.
