Get Your Taxes Done – For Free!
If you have a simple tax return you may just want to take that shoebox full of receipts to the City of Bloomington. Well, not literally, but the city is teaming up with AARP to provide free tax prep for folks with simple returns that make less than $30,000 ($53,000 for families).

Homeland Security came out a few days ago saying there is no credible terrorist threat against any shopping mall in the U.S., including the Mall of America, so don’t be deterred from shopping ‘til you drop this weekend.
The U.S. Homeland Security Department’s chief claimed last week that ISIS was threatening malls, specifically, our mall. Then, he backed away from the remark and now we find that there was never any credible threat.
Ah, politics. All it takes is a few words to wreak havoc. Politicians need to learn to think before opening their mouths.
Go to the Movies – For Free!
Every Saturday morning, the Theaters at Mall of America swing open their doors for families to come in and enjoy a free movie. This Saturday, the 28th, you can see “Rio 2.”
Originally released in April of last year, “Rio 2” is an animated film featuring a family of blue macaws that live in the city and decide to visit the Amazon jungle.
It’s colorful and musical but there may be some scary parts for sensitive children – predators swallowing their prey and Nigel, an evil villain with a poisonous frog sidekick.
Seating for the free Saturday morning movies is limited to the theatre’s capacity so get there early.
See you next week right here, or maybe we’ll see you around Bloomington!
