Thomas Jefferson High School
Thomas Jefferson High School, located in Bloomington, serves about 1,700 students in grades 9 through 12 with 1 teacher for every 20 students. The school was became a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2009.
In 2013, Jefferson Senior High ranked better than 91 percent of high schools in Minnesota and it is the highest ranking high school in Bloomington.
Nearly 73 percent of Jefferson 11th graders score proficient or better in math on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments Series II (MCA-II) exams. The state average is 50.6 percent. Seniors at Jefferson score 63 percent in science while the state average is 53 percent.
